Olivia O Neil lost her Crown Over a Dye Job

Neil:Teen beauty Olivia O’Neill was forced to hand back her crown after a spat with Facebook organizer of the competition for dyeing hair.

Olivia, 15, Miss Teen Wanganui, said that she was forced to give up the crown, because it does not meet the “requirements” that went with winning.

Now Olivia – supported by their parents – identified hysterics over provincial beauty contest, saying that shouted at and told that she would not be “far in this world.”

Olivia was the only crown for three months, when it published a photograph of a new profile on her page that displays Facebook recently dyed dark brown hair.

Pageant organizer Barbara Osborne saw the picture on the Internet and said: “This is a wig?”

Osborne continued: “I hope she does not give me a heart,” “My God, I hope Demi. Please tell me that this is a wig. ”

Olivia replied saying it’s not a wig, and if Osborne does not think that the “contest worthy”, then beauty contests may not be for her.

Comments have led to Osborne said: “Well, you better deal, miss.” Pass the crown with a ratio like that. I’m sure someone will step into your place with manners. ”

When Olivia handed the crown, she said Osborn said that she “did not go far in this world.”

“I do not think you can say 15-year-old, that they are not going to go very far in life. It’s bad,” said Olivia.

She said that she and other girls were criticized for their appearance, color of skin and hair, said to wear more make-up and cried.

“She was always very strict and the girls. And when she says things like” imagine yourself better ‘,’ wear a lot of beauty ‘,’ do 20 sit-ups, it gets to you after a while. ”

Father Vaughan Olivia O’Neill said girls were still children and observations of this kind had been unfair.

New Contest representative Femi Goulter confirmed yesterday that the crown was removed from Olivia because it changed the hair color. “The expectations in the conduct of the crown [was] that it maintain the image of her when she won it.”

He said that almost Vaughan O’Neil said that the contest organizers were pleased to meet Olivia discuss expectations.

Goulter denies that Osborne “shouted” at the competition. He said that “council” of the data, and found that teenagers could interpret her remarks, and how it makes them as “screaming”.

“The beauty contest is not about sugar coating and providing words of the girl. They should be treated just like any other beauty pageant in the world.”

Goulter said Barbara Osborne no longer involved in the organization, while her daughter Chandra Osborne was still the director.
